Working principle of gearbox

2025-11-26

Manual gearbox: By shifting the gear lever to switch the driving gear on the intermediate shaft, combined with the driven gear on the power output shaft, the torque and speed of the driving wheels are changed.
Automatic transmission (AT): The hydraulic torque converter transmits power through liquid, and the planetary gear mechanism switches gears according to the instructions of the hydraulic control system.
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT): Adjusting the transmission ratio by changing the diameter of the pulley to achieve continuously variable transmission.
Dual clutch transmission (DCT): Two sets of clutches work alternately, pre selecting gears reduces power interruption.

Understanding Gearboxes: The Heart of Industrial Motion

--- Gearboxes are critical components in various industrial applications, designed to transfer power and adjust the speed and torque of machinery. At their core, gearboxes consist of a series of gears that engage with each other to modify the rotational speed and force transmitted from one component to another. Whether in manufacturing, construction, or transportation, the choice of gearbox can si
